Liberty Latin America Associate Manager, Fixed Connectivity in Panama

What’s the role

As a Product Manager specializing in Connectivity and supporting CPEs, you will be responsible for overseeing the requirements, development, device/vendor selection, and lifecycle management of connectivity devices/products used by customers in HFC, FTTH, LTE and 5G telecom networks. Your role will involve strategic planning, market analysis, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of products that meet customer needs and business objectives.

What you’ll do

  1. Product Strategy : Define the product strategy for connectivity based on market trends, customer requirements, technology evolution, RFI requirements and criteria, and business goals. Identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation in the market.

  2. Market Analysis : Conduct market research to understand customer needs and use cases, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies. Use insights to inform product roadmap and feature prioritization.

  3. Product Roadmap Management : Develop and maintain a detailed product roadmap outlining feature releases, enhancements, and updates. Prioritize features based on customer feedback, market trends, and business objectives.

  4. Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with labs, procurement, engineering, and support teams to ensure alignment on product goals and priorities. Collaborate with development and engineering teams to define technical requirements and guide product development efforts. This will also include product enhancements, fixes and troubleshooting.

  5. Requirements Definition : Define clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria based on customer needs and market demands. Communicate requirements effectively to product development and engineering teams and ensure timely delivery of high-quality products. Requirements must take into consideration the E2E product life cycle and interactions/integrations with different platforms across different markets.

  6. Product Launch and Go-to-Market Strategy : Develop go-to-market plans for new product releases, including positioning (CVP), operations and training and materials. Coordinate with marketing and sales teams to drive product adoption and success in the market.

  7. Product Performance Monitoring : Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of products post-launch. Monitor product performance, customer feedback, and market trends to identify areas for improvement and optimization. Stablish the use of data to support decision-making and future strategy and product roadmap.

  8. Customer Advocacy : Serve as the voice of the customer within the organization, advocating for their needs and preferences throughout the product development process. Gather customer feedback through surveys, interviews, and user testing to inform product decisions. Good communication skills are a must to work together with the local markets.

  9. Risk Management : Identify potential risks and challenges that may impact product delivery or market success. Develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address risks and ensure successful product outcomes.

Required Education / Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field

  • Proven experience (5 years) in product management roles, preferably in the telecom, CPE or network industry.

  • In-depth understanding of telecom connectivity technologies, including broadband, wireless, and fiber optics.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Strategic thinker with a customer-centric mindset and a passion for delivering innovative products that drive business growth.
