V2X HVAC Supervisor in Marshall Islands

Overview

This position will be physically located in The Marshall Islands in support of LOGCAP

The HVAC Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the HVAC Shop. Will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for HVAC/R systems on assigned locations. The HVAC Supervisor provides technical/operational guidance and supervision to the HVAC leads & HVAC technicians to ensure compliance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS) for the following functions: installation, inspection, maintenance and trouble-shooting of industrial HVAC equipment such as boilers and chillers, light commercial units to include, package, DX and split units and residential units to include split, mini-split and window units.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the HVAC preventive maintenance and corrective service program

  • Supervises HVAC personnel and participates in the installation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration and air conditioning systems to ensure that the work performed is in compliance with the PWS, blueprints, manufacturer specifications, and written/verbal instructions

  • Plan, schedule, and assign work and crews to ensure adequate resources for efficient performance of duties

  • Monitor jobs to ensure quality and compliance with standards, update HVAC records, report on performance, and resolve issues

  • Provides leadership and mentors personnel to develop appropriate skillsets

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.

  • Must be able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC)

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent

  • HVAC/R Trade certification or proof of training/competency

  • EPA Section 608 Universal Certification required

  • Mechanical knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance

  • A valid US Driver’s License and the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Motor Vehicle Operator’s License

  • Must have excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral

  • Skills:

  • Able and willing to perform other duties as needed, as skills and program allow. Knowledge and understanding of the US Army Public Works system and procedures is preferred

  • Knowledge of the US Army supply and procurement process is preferred

  • Ability to demonstrate leadership and management skills in a professional demeanor

  • Ability to work effectively with employees and management of all levels to include multi-national staff, superiors, and senior military officers

  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills

  • Collaborative work style fostering cooperation and teamwork

  • Ability to handle confidential company and employee information with complete discretion

  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities in order to handle a demanding workload

  • Ability to anticipate internal client needs

  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook applications

  • High-level organization and planning skills so workflow is managed efficiently and accurately

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret reports/documents

  • Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Preferred Supervisory experience and two to three years of experience managing entry-level employees.

  • Physical Requirements:

  • Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

  • Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.

  • Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
