The Amazon Technology Sourcing team within Amazon IT is looking for Principal Product Manager, Technical to join our team. Our vision is to be the the most sustainable and responsible consumer of enterprise IT equipment on the planet.

We’re looking for a Principal PMT to build out our IT sustainability strategy. You will help solve key pain points that require thinking boldly, creativity, build awareness and application of industry best practices and direction, and have a deep understanding of challenges within IT. The strategies you develop will help drive innovative solutions across internal teams as well as with our supplier/partners. In this role, you will drive the technical design and roadmap for sustainability within Amazon IT like expanding programs to reduce packaging waste, logistics carbon footprint, reverse supply chain of IT equipment (including recycling and donation programs), innovating on new approaches like leveraging next-generation technology to help customers make the sustainable choice and aligning to Amazon’s Climate Pledge priorities. You will coordinate complex product initiatives across internal teams and stakeholders to prioritize roadmap features, and spearhead the definition of new capabilities through product, business and technical requirements documents. You have a high level of comfort with ambiguity, a deeply analytical mindset with the ability to investigate complex challenges and can effectively influence across organizations through well-written communication. You will work backwards from the customer needs, dive deep into data to understand the issues, and drive product development to deliver on those needs by working with cross-functional teams. You will possess strong strategic planning, analytical, interpersonal skills (including written and oral communication) and demonstrate the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams and have the ability to make high-judgement decisions within an ambiguous space.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience in technical product management, program management or engineering

  • Experience with end to end product delivery

  • Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements

  • Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement
