The Financial Accountant is responsible for preparing accurate financial statements and ensuring timely reporting in alignment with IHG’s policies and statutory requirements. This role includes managing the general ledger, recording journal entries, and conducting month- and year-end closings. The Financial Accountant supports budgeting and forecasting, offering insights and variance analysis to improve financial outcomes, and manages cash flow to ensure operational liquidity, overseeing accounts payable and receivable.

Maintaining robust internal controls, the Financial Accountant ensures compliance with financial regulations and conducts regular audits to safeguard assets. Responsibilities also encompass processing invoices, reconciling accounts, coordinating with vendors, and overseeing tax compliance and filings. Financial analysis is key in this role to support management’s decision-making and highlight cost-control and revenue-enhancement opportunities. Additionally, the Financial Accountant collaborates with department heads, supports team development, and engages in cross-functional projects to improve operational efficiency.
