Your Day to Day

With spectacular growth in our region - which includes a newly revamped rewards program and new brands in market - and an even bigger ambition, there couldn’t be a better time to join the IHG family.

Due to growth in region and Japan being a key growth market for IHG, we have a newly created role of Director of Marketing Shared Services Japan & Micronesia. The role will report into our Director of Global Marketing Shared Services Japan, Australasia & Pacific. This key senior leadership role forms part of the senior commercial team in Japan and will be based out of our Tokyo support office.

The core responsibility of the role is to lead the development and delivery of key marketing activities that drive measurable contribution to brand, loyalty and revenue performance.

• 総合的かつ統合的なマーケティングキャンペーンの企画・実行経験

• マーケティングにおけるデータ中心のアプローチ（プログラマティックなど）に関する深い専門知識

• マーケティングテクノロジーソリューションの使用経験

• ホスピタリティに対する深い理解、または大規模なグローバルビジネスでの勤務経験

• 部門横断的なステークホルダーのコミュニティをリードする能力

• データプライバシー法に関する知識

• リーダーシップを発揮し、チームを管理し、部門を越えて協働した経験

• 日本語および英語での優れた文書および口頭でのコミュニケーションスキル

What we need from you

To be successful in this role the following skills and attributes are highly desirable.

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Marketing, Sales, Business Administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience​

• 10+ years progressive experience with demonstrated commercial success in Marketing and Digital in Japan and multinational organisations​

• Experience in building and leading highly-effective globally-dispersed teams and inspiring teams to achieve challenging agendas​

• Strong experience planning and executing holistic, integrated marketing campaigns ​

• Deep expertise in using a data-centric approach to Marketing (e.g. programmatic)​

• Strong experience working with Marketing Technology solutions ​

• Deep understanding of hospitality or experience working in a large global business

• Ability to lead a community of cross-functional stakeholders​

• Knowledge of data privacy laws

• Leadership experience, with a track record of managing teams and collaborating across departments​

• Excellent written and verbal communications skills in Japanese and English​
