Responsibilities:

• Configure and install various network devices and services not limiting to WAN routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, Wireless infrastructure (wireless controller, access points), voice routers, VoIP phones.

• Perform network maintenance and infrastructure upgrades including hot fixes and security configurations.

• Monitor the performance and ensure network availability and reliability

• Monitor resource utilisation and capacity planning.

• Provide technical support and have troubleshooting skills to resolve issues.

• Work as per the change management policies set by the organisation to ensure awareness, approval and successful implementation of the changes to the network infrastructure.

• Select and implement security tools, policies and procedures set by company’s security team.

• Liaise with the vendors and other IT personnel to resolve problems.

Minimum Required:

• Minimum 3 years networking experience.

• Cisco Certification - CCNA or CCNP

• Proven experience and success with LAN, WAN, WLAN, VOICE and firewall implementation.

• Proven experience with network principles, and general network management best practices.

• Working technical knowledge of network hardware, protocols, and Internet standards.

• Experience installing and managing network infrastructure - switches, routers, firewalls.

• Good understanding of the organisation’s goals and objectives.

• Able to conduct research into networking issues and products as required.

• Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.

• Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills - English and Japanese.

• Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.

• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Able to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment.

• Strong customer service orientation.

• Ability to liaise with third party vendors and contractors.

• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Network implementation, management and monitoring is highly desired. Cisco Catalyst platform, Extrahop, Splunk, Cisco ISE

Education/Qualifications/Certifications and Licenses

Minimum Required:

• Bachelor's in Telecommunications, Information Systems, Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent
