Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.

Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities:

  • Working alongside our sales teams, help our customers and prospects identify and define their core issues, determine a path to create real opportunities for their organizations, and deliver presentations and demonstrations to help them understand our solutions for them.

  • Work is non-routine and complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills as the solution SME.

  • Present our product value through presentations ranging from short, slide-based demos to customized in-product demos and eventually to hands-on, in-depth technical proof of concept workshops.

  • Answer core functional and technical questions related to our core products in RFPs and RFIs for our customers and prospects.

  • Develop new use cases that push our customers towards innovative ways of marketing to their customers. Share unique use cases with other solutions engineers, sales reps, partners, and our product teams.

  • Collaborate with your fellow solutions engineers on deals and projects. We work closely together, and you’re expected to contribute to deals, meetings, shared documentation, and our general “make it happen” attitude.

  • Report on the status of deals you’re managing including understanding customer needs, our unique solution for each customer, and the expected steps to a closed opportunity.

  • During your first 90 days, you will be expected to complete training in your initial core product to be able to deliver effective demonstrations and presentations to our customers in live situations. You will then be expected to continue regular development and training on core skills including strategy, product knowledge, and presentation.

Skills:

  • 5+ years SaaS Cloud solution provider experience in a selling/marketing capacity (pre-sales experience preferred)

  • 10+ years business experience with relevant application solutions (e.g., solutions such as Loyalty Solutions, Customer Data Platforms, Messaging Service Providers, etc.)

  • Takes ownership of key business process solution definitions within our targeted industries

  • Drives industry knowledge throughout the industry sales team

  • Thorough knowledge of system and application design

  • Knowledge of the competitive space and how to position the solution favorably against competitors

  • Demonstrated project management and leadership skills – able to manage deal pursuit teams, complex cycles.

  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning/messaging, business value and justification, compelling/closing techniques.

  • Ability to effectively persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication.

Other Responsibilities

  • Provide direction and specialist knowledge in applying Oracle cloud solutions and technology application to client business challenges.

  • Facilitate customer solution understanding through meetings, presentations, and demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of supporting resources throughout the sales cycle.

  • Formulate the strategy, plan and solution and lead the pre-sales deal team supporting activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction.

  • Develop and deliver outstanding presentations and demonstrations – excellent communication skills (verbal, written, face-to-face, digital deliver) a must.

  • Guide and influence all aspects of a sales process based on your extensive pre-sales experience, in partnership with your selling team.

  • Support RFx processes: assist RFx management, respond to platform/functional/technical questions

  • Advise internal and external clients on overall solutions and architecture.

  • Lead large, complex sales opportunities that need creative design, strategy and solutions.

  • Help to develop and maintain standardized materials and deliver productivity enablement for the SE and Sales organizations.

  • Travel, as needed – approximately 25%As a Senior Sales Consultant you will be responsible for providing presales technical / functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction with minimal supervision. Acts as a technical resource for less experienced Sales Consultants. Develop and deliver high quality standard Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Present and articulate advanced product features and benefits, product future direction and overall Oracle solutions. Design, validate, and present Oracle software solutions to include advanced product concepts, future direction, and 3rd party complimentary products. Develop and manage reference sites through high quality technical, professional client relationships.
