Our Data Research team applies machine learning, including LLMs, to Akamai security products. We not only leverage the massive amount of Akamai network traffic data to provide top-tier threat intelligence for customers but also apply ML/AI on security products directly as value differentiators.

Help us make the Internet a safer place

You'll identify attacks/threats from network data and collaborate with the researchers to enhance the models they develop. You will help us protect millions of people each day.

As a Security Analyst, you will be responsible for:

• Having a great understanding of the Akamai security products.

• Working closely with a data research team as a subject domain expert, assisting with data annotation and machine learning model development & analysis.

• Assisting in domain-based feature development for ML/AI model building to solve complex security use cases.

• Leveraging your deep understanding of the Akamai security products and data to enhance the ML/AI products and make them even better.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a B.Sc. in computer science or a relevant field or relevant military experience.

• Have 2 years of experience in cyber security incident response or SOC analysis.

• Have a good understanding of networking and Operating Systems concepts.

• Have knowledge/experience and understanding of data analysis methodologies and best practices.

• Have programming skills in SQL and Python.

• Be fluent in written and spoken English.
