Banking Consulting Europe which is a part of EMEA Region under ‘FSGBU - Consulting’ delivers Oracle Technology and Applications solutions for clientele in the European region. The service offerings include Application Implementation, Managed Services and Customization development services for Oracle Financial Services Software Banking products.

Your Opportunity

This gives us an opportunity to apply your technology knowledge, skills and experience to work in the Banking Consulting team with a new generation of Oracle Banking products in next generation architecture built leveraging the newest technologies.

Responsibilities

The Role

  1. Manage a team of 2-5 team members or operate independently, as required, in Development or Implementation or Managed Services or activity streams such as Migration, Integration, Testing support and coordination with other Oracle teams at client locations or offshore teams to provide quality work products.

  2. Deliver high quality design specifications / related documents and Product Walkthrough presentations.

  3. Review functional approaches, design, program specification and Unit Test plan prepared by team.

  4. Guide and assist team to maintain quality in delivering technical design specification document and coding

  5. Engage with multiple internal (product, support, process etc.) and client partners effectively to deliver quality work within budgeted efforts and timelines.

  6. Document all work in accordance with agreed standards/processes applicable for Oracle / Client.

  7. Adhere to defined Change Control Process of Oracle / Client. Align with Oracle / Client audit / Compliance requirements.

  8. Perform proper handover / knowledge transfer at end of each assignment.

  9. Timely status reporting to supervisor.

  10. Timely submission of timesheets and expenses for Oracle / Clients.

Desired Skills & Experience

Primary Skills

  • Possess extensive experience in end-to-end Development and / or Implementation and / or Support activities covering expertise areas such as Design of customizations, Coding and Unit testing, performing Test cycle rounds including End of Days, Migrations and Integrations, Release management, Issue Tracking for Oracle FLEXCUBE / core banking products

  • Possess extensive, real-world experience designing enterprise software and defining Solution Architectures and technology

  • Ability to communicate effectively and connect with client’s Technical Architecture teams, analyze design approaches, design and implement standard processes, evaluate project risks and implement recommendations.

  • Participate and lead, when needed, the project meetings and solutioning workshops with the client and possess excellent client interaction skills in areas including presentation of solutions

  • Understand and analyze Customer business requirement and can provide fitment, solution, efforts estimation.

  • Engage effectively with multiple internal and external partners as required during projects.

  • Guide and lead teams to deliver on complex projects

  • Knowledge and skills in software programming in Core Java, J2EE, Microservices related technologies, JavaScript, XML. Experience in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL and Oracle Database (18c or 12c) is a plus.

  • Exposure and good technical knowledge on areas such as software deployment, troubleshooting on Application Server software especially Oracle Weblogic.

  • Good knowledge of Release methodologies and Source control tools

  • Good skills on Microsoft Office, MS Excel, Powerpoint

  • You possess good communication & documentation skills in English

Secondary Skills

  • Good exposure to Banking Domain

  • Knowledge and extensive experience in programming using JAVA, SOA, Webservices, Reports and Middleware

  • Exposure to software development processes and practices, DevOps tools, Testing tools

  • Knowledge of Oracle OBIEE Reports, BIP, middleware such as Oracle Fusion SOA Suite

  • Aware of the newest technologies and development practices.

Experience

  • Experience of 12 to 16 years with at least 8 years in primary skill areas

Educational and Other Qualifications

  • Should hold at least a Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent degree!

Work Environment

  • Willing to work at offshore as well as travel to client locations and also work in shifts as defined by project needs

  • Willing to take up FLEXCUBE and other Technical certifications in functional and technical areas as and when required.

  • Ability to work in a high pressure, fast moving and challenging environment.
