Oracle Cloud Architect in India

Job Description

To support key strategic Oracle customers, we are seeking a lead cloud architect. The candidate should have a minimum of 15 years’ experience in the field of implementations of Fusion Middleware products of which minimum 5+ years should be on cloud platforms. The candidate should have excellent troubleshooting skills across the layers of cloud in middleware application, database, network, storage, compute, boundary systems and should be extremely proficient in various layers of the cloud platform as an architect.

This role demands a very active and close collaboration with customer technical / executive leadership, Oracle development teams & internal executive leadership. The candidate must possess excellent communication, presentation & interpersonal skills. The role will demand frequent complex discussions. The candidate should be able to present & articulate his / her thoughts with clarity and precision. The candidate should have strong decision making skills and will often need to bring the complex discussions to closure supported by right arguments and facts.

The candidate must be extremely organized, self-motivated and a go getter. For key strategic customers, a lot of requirements run in parallel. Candidate should be able to quickly prioritize and set the right expectations.

Must Have Skills -

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, engineering, maths or equivalent experience

  • Minimum 10 years in Architecting solutions for large enterprise systems in cloud.

  • Minimum 10 years working experience in wide range of Oracle products and technologies, including SAAS products (ERP, WMS, HCM, and others), Oracle Fusion Middleware products, Weblogic & Database products.

  • Hands on Implementation of fusion middleware products on cloud platforms - Either or few of SOA, ODI, MFT, APIPCS, OIC, IDAM on any cloud platform( Preferably on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)

  • Strong executive communication, presentation skills.

  • Strong decision making, convincing skills to bring down the complex discussions to closure supported by right arguments and facts.

  • Influence the design, capacity planning tuning and the actual build out and operation of customer solutions leveraging Oracle technologies such as WebLogic Mid-Tiers and Exadata DB instances on Oracle Cloud infrastructure including OCI Storage and Network.

  • A solid understanding of database / RAC / Exadata / Storage/ backup & recovery.

  • Knowledge and experience in using cloud deployment tools like Ansible, Terraform.

  • Experience working on complex software development/integration projects

  • Experience in Unix/Linux Shell, Perl, Ansible and Python scripting.

Nice to Have Skills -

  • Experience in either or few of Flexcube, OFSAA, OBDX, Retail Suite, Health Science GBU products implementation.

  • Experience in GoldenGate ( configuration and tuning).

  • Software development experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities -

  • Architect solutions in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure to solve complex customer problems.

  • Influence the design, capacity planning, tuning and the actual build out and operation of customer solutions leveraging Oracle technologies such as Middleware and Exadata DB instances on Oracle Cloud infrastructure across various layers of compute, storage, network & tenancy.

  • Interact with customers at executive and architect level for any priority situations and react/respond timely manner.

  • Leverage Oracle Cloud Observability and Management technology to create cloud monitoring solution for our customers, providing insights and building of dashboards.

  • Play a key role in the design of HA/DR solutions around OCI cloud service.

  • Effectively communicate deep technical solutions with customer executives and internal stake holders.

  • Get involved in Performance, Scalability and Reliability Analysis and database query tuning

  • Work with architects and development managers across Oracle product development teams in requirements specification definition and detailed engineering analysis from data requirements perspective.

  • Create and improve current service deployment infrastructure using automation and the latest cloud capabilities to improve agility, reliability, and observability.

Responsibilities

As a hands-on lead architect, you will be tasked to solve the complex customer technical problems around environment stability, performance & architect new PAAS / SAAS solutions. You will be expected to present & articulate the solutions of complex problems with clarity and precision to executive leaders from both customer and Oracle.
