Oracle Cloud Architect in India

Job Description

As a member of the Support organization, your focus is to deliver post-sales support and solutions to the Oracle customer base while serving as an advocate for customer needs. This involves resolving post-sales non-technical customer inquiries via phone and electronic means, as well as, technical questions regarding the use of and troubleshooting for our Electronic Support Services. A primary point of contact for customers, you are responsible for facilitating customer relationships with Support and providing advice and assistance to internal Oracle employees on diverse customer situations and escalated issues.

Your versatility will be your greatest asset as you deliver mission-critical support and empower our customers to harness the full power of Oracle products. We also look for:

  • Proficient in modern scripting language (preferably Shell, Perl and Python) for automation of build tasks and JSON.

  • Write infrastructure as code using CloudFormation or similar. Previously worked in Blockchain, IOT or chatbot.

  • In depth knowledge of building and developing operational and reliability aspects of the systems, as well as strong understanding of Cloud computing, Blockchain, IOT, chat-bot, file systems and DevOps toolset skill.

  • Having good understanding of cloud design considerations and limitations and its impact on Pricing, predominantly hosting an application on Cloud using Compute Engine, App Engine, Cloud SQL, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage.

  • Prior experience working with container technology such as Docker, version control systems (Github), build management and CI/CD tools (Concourse, Jenkins), and monitoring tools (App Dynamics), Build Tool (Maven, Ant, Gradle), etc.

  • Experience with supervising solutions such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, and the ELK stack.

  • Bachelor level or higher degree in Computer Science, CIS, Informatics, Mathematics, Engineering or other relevant subject area.

  • Cloud Architect Associate certification on any Public Cloud Platform (OCI/AWS/Azure/GCP) is desirable.

  • Good written/Verbal Communication, Presentation, Interactive skills with team across geography.

  • Flexible to work either independently or work in tandem with our engineering team to identify and implement the most efficient cloud-based solutions for the company

  • Adaptability to Learn and use ground-breaking technologies

Responsibilities

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will interface with the customer's IT staff on a regular basis. Either at the client's site or from a remote location, you will be responsible for resolution of moderately complex technical problems related to the installation, recommended maintenance and use and repair/workarounds for Oracle products. You should be highly experienced in some Oracle products and several platforms that are being supported. You will be expected to work with only general guidance from management while advising management on progress/status.

• Need to specify and refine the requirements of automation, management, monitoring, protocols on Cloud Platform.

• Being a positive catalyst to build solutions that can be repeatedly deployed and scaled by applying unique, multidisciplinary practice to ensure the stability, scalability, performance and operational success, often by building software systems that manage these aspects.

• Articulate technical characteristics of services, technology areas and add best-in-class capabilities to the Oracle Cloud service portfolio.

• Act as ultimate issue point for sophisticated or critical customer issues as a customer first moves onto Oracle’s cloud. Use a deep understanding of service topology and their dependencies required to solve issues and define mitigations. Work Closely with Customer and/or Partners to bring workloads on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

• Plan for system and application migration(s) to the cloud, adhering to the client’s technical and business requirements

• Automating the build and configuration of IaaS based solutions in Oracle Cloud Platform

• Optimize cost of cloud solutions by identifying waste and automating cloud cost management

• Deliver Proof of Concepts for new Solutions on Cloud using blockchain, IOT or chatbots.

• Collaborate with Customers and internal partners to collect, understand and tackle problems
