Manulife Temporary Cash Management Manager (12 months) in Hong Kong

Manulife Investment Management – Hong Kong (MIM-HK) is the Regional Investment Operations (RIO) in Asia and serves as the hub for Investment Operations in other Asian territories (including Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, Taiwan, Japan and China).

The position reports to the Team lead within Investment Operations and is primarily responsible for the below:

Responsibilities

The Temporary Cash Management Manager (12 months) is a full-time contractor role who will be one of the key members in Hong Kong Investment Operations team and reponsible for supporting eMPF & pension platform related changes along with other BAU tasks as needed. Responsibilities include:

  • Evaluate the impact to investment operations on eMPF and any new initiatives from Trustee

  • Support team lead to review business process and perform detailed impact analysis

  • Develop business requirement documentation and oversee IT on system change

  • Support team lead on solutioning and optimize the operational workflow

  • Develop and execute test cases on eMPF or pension related new initiatives

  • Lead the user acceptance test within operation, IT and external parties if required

  • Document the test results and support implementation as well as update internal policies and procedures manual as required

  • Work closely with offshore support team to ensure proper control in place and build a robust operating model after eMPF

  • Open to support cash or trade management related tasks of insurance funds, pension, mutual fund, unit trust, private and institutional account if required

  • Build strong working relationships with and support portfolio management teams from equity, fixed income, and asset allocation desks.

  • Liaise with various parties including external fund managers, prime brokers, auditors, transfer agency, custodians, fund administrators and other service providers

  • Perform other responsibilities and duties within operation as assigned

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s Degree or above, preferably in accounting, finance and other relevant qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in areas of investment operations, such as cash management, trade management, fund operations or fund administration

  • With project management or change management background will be an advantage

  • Knowledgeable in various fund types including unit trust, mutual fund, pension and fund of funds

  • Knowledgeable in various financial instruments, including equity, fixed income, FX and other asset classes

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, excellent in MS Excel.

  • Public holiday support and morning shift of work may require

  • Able to take initiative and work independently as well as in a team

  • Self-motivated and detailed minded with strong analytical and documentation abilities

  • A good team player, with strong organizational and project management skills
