As the Director of Digital Health within the Global Innovation team under Global Marketing, you will report to Assistant Vice President, Health and Protection Transformation. You will play a pivotal role in transforming our health and protection business by strategically integrating digital health solutions. Your team will include a Senior Manager of Digital Health Execution, emphasizing collaboration and alignment in driving transformative initiatives. This rare opportunity allows you to execute digital health propositions aimed at enhancing Manulife's competitiveness in the swiftly evolving digital health landscape, while also working on pioneering initiatives directly impacting the company's growth and success across 2 to 3 key markets. This position can be based either in Singapore or Hong Kong.

Responsibilities:

  • Digital Health Strategic Planning and Execution: Understand the business landscape and develop digital health strategies to enhance local markets’ agendas such as uplift in Net Promoter Score (NPS) and product mix shift. Execute strategic plans for the integration of digital health solutions into health and protection business, defining quantifiable metrics and go-to-market plans. Implement proof of concepts (POCs) and agile sprints to ensure rapid deployment and iteration of solutions.

  • Health & Protection Proposition Enhancement: Collaborate closely with the distribution and product teams to craft marketing enablers via focus groups conducted with insurance advisors. Ensure that health propositions are meticulously aligned with strategic objectives.

  • Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough research on the latest digital health technologies and solutions available in the market, with a particular emphasis on clinically validated products and services. Analyze the potential impact of these technologies on preventive healthcare/self-awareness, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery cycles.

  • Technology Evaluation: Help to evaluate the suitability of digital health technologies for integration into Manulife's product offerings and customer experiences. Assess the effectiveness, reliability, and scalability of these technologies in meeting the needs of our diverse customer base.

  • External Partnership: Identify potential digital health technology providers and initiate discussions for partnerships or collaborations with Manulife. Lead initial due diligence efforts to assess the compatibility of partner offerings with Manulife's business objectives.

  • Thought Leadership: Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in innovation and transformation in digital health space, sharing insights and thought leadership within the organization to inspire and drive continuous improvement.

  • Collaboration with World Economic Forum's UpLink for Asia Segment: Leverage the partnership with the World Economic Forum's UpLink to identify and support entrepreneurs dedicated to accelerating solutions in longevity

What we are looking for

  • Minimum of 15 years of working experience and 6 years of experience in digital health, healthcare technology, or related fields.

  • Proven track record of identifying, evaluating, and implementing digital health solutions.

  • Knowledge of clinically evidenced digital health products and services.

  • Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and project management skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
