Kilian Paris and Editions De Parfums Frederic Malle have an exciting opportunity to join their Marketing team as Marketing Coordinator, UK and Ireland.

With the continued and accelerated momentum of the two brands in the UK, we are seeking out top talent to join the brand.

Editions De Parfums Frederic Malle was the first brand to pull perfumers out of the shadows by emblazoning their names on the bottles in black and white. Recently, the brand also launched a new fragrance, in collaboration with the Acne Studios fashion house, taking the fashion and fragrance worlds by storm.

Kilian Paris has a complete different DNA with “Don’t be shy!“ as its motto. The brand has a contemporary vision of French perfumery with a nod to artisans of the past. The result is fragrances that create a passionate dance between conventional and unorthodox.

This role is a unique opportunity to work across these two most desirable ultra-luxury fragrance brands. You will have the opportunity to be involved across all key functions of marketing, events and communications. The role reports directly to the Marketing and Consumer Engagement Manager, providing key exposure to senior leadership.

The primary objective for the Marketing Coordinator is to support the Marketing team in the timely and effective delivery of the UK Marketing strategy and calendar, adopting an omni-channel approach.

Responsibilities

Product Marketing (20%)

  • Support on strategy & implementation of all key launch & projects, and seamless execution of the UK marketing calendar. Forecasting:

  • Coordinate the new launch forecasting process, building a view of the market landscape and competitor positioning.

  • Gain feedback on supply as required.

  • On request from marketing manager, produce reports to keep track of any changes and analyse some key data

  • Take a proactive approach to excess, with a monthly reconciliation and action plan to ensure excess is minimised.

  • On briefing from Marketing manager, implement VM action plans and ensure all non-saleable items are allocated in time, on budget and in full into the warehouse.

  • Support New Door Openings with orders, theatre for launch and merchandising for VM team.

  • Build collaborative relationships with internal departments, key external suppliers to support 360 launch planning & execution.

  • Collaborate with the wider teams to effectively and efficiently deliver the calendar of launches with weekly reviews of matrices and shipments.

  • Assist in preparing bi-annual conference presentation as per the Marketing plan across Kilian Paris and Frederic Malle & present relevant campaigns/launches.

  • Support in building presentations, new launch planning books and retailer strategy presentations.

Consumer Engagement & Trade Marketing (20%)

  • Support team in the delivery of the calendar of on and off counter activity and events to align to new and seasonal product launches or focuses.

  • Be the key contact for events execution

  • Monitor stock levels for any activity and eventing.

  • Coordinate event kits and tools for smaller activations.

  • Coordinate and oversee the HTMs and Christmas programme of collateral and consumer facing materials, delivering the gifting materials, exclusives and VM support to elevate these, then monitoring and reporting on successes and learns as Post Campaign Analysis.

  • Contact with retailers as required - sharing assets, communicating launch dates etc.

  • Lead weekly sales meeting to align on store and retailer requests.

Competitor Analysis & Retail Reporting (15%)

  • Prepare NPD luxury Monthly deep-dive Competitor Reports and cascade key info to wider team.

  • Closely monitor competitor activity & tracking from an omnichannel perspective, including regular store visits and the monitoring of media activity to share back to wider team with recommendations for our brands.

  • Produce ad hoc result reports as per local and global requests to assist international planning / analysis.

  • Collate feedback from Consultants, Field and Fitzroy Place departments and lead Post Promotional Campaign Report creation.

Collaterals and Samples & Excess (15%)

  • Collateral and Promotional elements:

  • Lead collateral and product elements implementation and allocation, including budget PO management.

  • Be responsible for the sample and promotional forecasts.

  • Create the promotional calendar for each brand and retailer exclusive activity.

  • Make recommendations for new brand sampling initiatives.

  • Support the monthly sample reconciliation process.

  • Manage monthly collateral excess process, coordinating with teams & Supply to provide timely updates and ensure reducing excess.

  • Ensure complete supply through seeking regular feedback from the field and produce locally any materials required, as directed by manager, to fill any gaps (e.g. local bag or wrap production). Additional Responsibilities & Team Support (30%)

  • Be a Brand Champion and the first point of contact for all field teams, cascading relevant information and engaging the teams, ensuring they are fully supported in driving retail, events and in handling requests.

  • Support the Marketing team to raise POs and implement the budget plans, coordinating also wider departments.

  • Manage deliveries to store, send outs and works with wider team to execute brand administrative tasks.

  • Respond to queries & requests from Consultants, Field & Global Marketing on a timely basis.

  • Maintain the allocated budgets for both brands with the support of Marketing Manager, ensuring all spend is accurately calendarized.

  • Update the quarterly order forms with new products and price increases, as well as removing discontinued products.

  • Support the Marketing Manager in the pricing analysis for both brands, implementing annual 3 year pricing and new product pricing.

  • Conduct competitor pricing research to support new launch pricing proposals.

Skills and Experience

  • You are passionate about the beauty industry and will be a real brand ambassador.

  • Strong resilience – not worried about making mistakes (we all do!) but happy to learn and develop from them.

  • We drive two brands – you will need to have the ability to work on multiple projects and switch between different hats.

  • Numbers are a new best friend – you will need analytical skills and attention to detail, to support across market analysis, brand performance reports and allocations.. a true marketeer is not just creative.

  • Proficient in Power point, Microsoft Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook.
