L3 WINTEL and VDI Support Engineer

As a senior Infrastructure Engineer you will contribute to this by assisting our customer directly in the support of their operational secure network. The role will involve incident management and resolution on secure military systems
We are looking for a senior 3rd line Infrastructure Support Engineer with extensive experience to maintain a complex secure solution. The role will primarily involve incident management on our clients’ live operational military system, on incidents that have been escalated from 2nd line resources that are often remotely based environments. Additional scope of responsibilities will include delivering infrastructure development and testing of upgrades, patch management and new software solutions. We are looking for dependable and experienced support staff that are not afraid to own problems and incidents and deliver solutions to issues. A broad skill set and experience base is desirable; but equally, if you regard yourself as a subject matter expert in a technology area that we are supporting or will be delivering as a future upgrade then you could find yourself involved in some exciting project work.
Your transferable skills and experience:
Microsoft Windows Server 2012\2016 or later / Linux knowledge (Nice to have)
Thin Client Solutions
Microsoft HyperV virtualization / VMware Vsphere 6+ /Horizon View
Active Directory & Group Policy management, design and troubleshooting
Knowledge of PKI , Certificates
Good understanding of networking technologies that support the infrastructure including Vmware NSX
Storage systems technology experience (SAN/NAS)
Strong PowerShell and other scripting experience
Microsoft SCCM/MECM management, troubleshooting
Documentation creation
Knowledge of VEEM & DPM backup solution
Knowledge of Office 365 products
SQL Mirroring (Skype and SharePoint backends)
Windows Failover Clustering
Microsoft KMS (Key Management Services)
