Red Hat Senior Software Quality Engineer - API Management (Brno Office, Czech Republic) in Spain
The Red Hat Quality Engineering (QE) team is looking for a Senior Software Quality Engineer. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to make a difference in the way Red Hat 3scale API Management is developed. You’ll gain complete understanding of a variety of technologies, including Docker, OpenShift by Red Hat, Python and more. You will make sure our solutions fulfill the highest possible enterprise quality, performance, usability, and supportability criteria. As a Software Quality Engineer, you'll serve as the last instance before applications are released to the public. You'll create and carry out test plans, research new features, and develop automated tests. We'll need you to have the ability to think creatively and adapt to rapid change, as well as the willingness to learn new things.
What you will do:
Develop automation frameworks and scripts using Python, Bash, Ansible and Docker
Work with the complete Application Services (Middleware) solutions portfolio and be responsible for the delivery of RedHat 3scale API Management offering and its components
Participate in the test planning and product planning processes
Conduct new feature research and design test cases
Carry out manual tests and deliver clear status for testing areas in a timely manner
Document and advocate the resolution of new bugs with developers
Constantly learn new things and maintain an overview of current technologies
Communicate with other Red Hat quality engineers and developers
What you will bring:
Practical experience with Python
User knowledge of Linux OS
Basic understanding of computer networks and protocols
Experience with REST APIs
Experience with GIT
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or relevant professional experience in software development
Good written and verbal English communication skills
The following are considered a plus:
Experience in debugging and performance tuning
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift
Experience with continuous integration, pipelines, or Jenkins
