The Global Procurement team owns Akamai's end-to-end supply-chain process. We establish and maintain stakeholder relationships internally and externally. We manage our suppliers to best optimize our investments and supply base. Through effective sourcing and negotiation, we constantly enable and deliver value capture (cost-saving/avoidance).

Partner with the best

In this role, you will collaborate with senior leaders to strategize sourcing for specific categories. You will also oversee Category Management, Supplier Management, Value Tracking, Contract Management, and internal stakeholder management. This oversight aims to enhance procurement processes and achieve cost savings in designated categories.

As a Global Technology Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Coordinating all aspects of contract management, from negotiation and execution to renewal and termination, working with InfoSec, Legal, Finance and Business Leaders to ensure compliance

• Communicating issues to leadership while driving for resolution

• Providing support during the vendor screening and vendor selection process

• Holding periodic Supplier Business Reviews to share and receive feedback from vendor

• Guiding stakeholders (internal and external) on how to structure and implement RFQs/RFIs/RFPs to obtain best-in-class supplier capabilities.

• Building and maintaining robust relationships with key internal stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of their needs

• Monitoring market dynamics, supplier landscape and pricing strategy for category across regions

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a bachelor's degree with 8 years of relevant experience

• Have experience in contract management, strategic sourcing, risk management, and procurement operations in technology or services

• Have proven experience in managing multi-region customers and key technology suppliers such as Microsoft, AWS, Google, Oracle, Salesforce, etc

• Have experience in change management and a track record of implementing cost-saving changes

• Demonstrate great interpersonal and leadership skills

• Be able to effectively communicate in business English both written and verbal
