Greene Tweed Quality and Warehouse Technician in Switzerland

Essential Duties/Responsibilities :

  • Conducts quality inspections and tests to ensure that all parts and assemblies meet or exceed customer requirements, design specifications and company quality standards, dimensionally, in appearance and product reliability.

  • Local liaisons point between UK and Switzerland facilities to assist ISO 9001 compliance requirements.

  • Responsivities covering but not limited to; Quality document control, calibration and internal audits.

  • Conducts first part, in process and final part inspections to ensure operator accuracy and traceability documentation is complete – by monitoring dimensions and visual appearance of components per print, router specifications and quality plans.

  • Conducts various quality tests verifying conformance to design and print specifications, using equipment such as calipers, thickness gauge micrometers, height gauge, hand gauges, computer radius gauge, pie tapes, optical comparator, CMM and precision hand measuring equipment.

  • Visually inspects parts for any defects including but not limited to blemishes, char, voids, and cracks.

  • Maintains quality records as required by the Quality Management System.

  • Help compile work instructions for Switzerland in conjunction with department heads and EU-QMS

  • Conducts incoming receiving inspections as required by the Quality Management System.

  • Requests corrections of routers and prints, initiates NCR’s, MRB’s and CAR’s.

  • Communicates with Engineering and Manufacturing as needed.

  • Responsible for maintaining daily production and shipping to meet Logistics requirements, including finished goods conversion, receiving of raw material, and shipping of finished goods including SAP transactions.

  • Participates in problem solving analysis and solutions as requested.

  • Ability to operate a forklift.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Education/Certifications: HS Diploma/equivalent (apprenticeship certificate)

Skills and Experience:

  • Understands technical drawings and their interpretation.

  • Good understanding of English written and verbal language

  • Previous experience with basic hand tools: calipers, micrometers, OGP, CMM, Gage pins etc. in the inspection of parts desired.

  • Previous experience reading blueprints/applying basic shop math required.

  • Basic mechanical skills and computer skills helpful.

  • Close visual attention, reasoning, and judgment are required.

  • Familiarity with SAP (or comparable system)
