Fujitsu Pricing Analyst in Canada

We are seeking an entry level Pricing Manager for our Finance Department based out of Canada (remote fully acceptable).

PURPOSE : Provide the skills and abilities needed to support the development of the financial business case for any deal pursuit undertaken Fujitsu North America within the DTS (Digital Transformational Service) business unit. The bid support specialist will validate bid proposals for financial accuracy in conformance to presenting an accurate P&L impact in relation to timing of cost and revenue recognition governed by generally accepted accounting principles (IFRS). Further, the specialist will work to ensure that cash flows are properly being described by the bid proposal teams to reflect a true cost recovery and future cash flows of the project. Moreover, the Financial Validation of the bids will further be dependent on ensuring that Gate Reviews have been met before the formal Executive Commercial Review takes place to authorize a bid submission to a client.

Additionally, support will be given to the bid teams through ensuring they are using the most current version of the bid models and if there is a problem or modification needed to the model that this can be accomplished to meet the particularities of the RFP.

Lastly, the position will take on tasks of reporting to corporate HQ to indicate certain sales types to ensure governance metrics are being maintain. Alongside that, reporting and updating benchmarks may also be assigned.

  • 3S solutions (SalesForce, ServiceNow, SAP)

  • Implementation of IT solutions / ERP modules

  • Staffing support

  • Bid Governance

  • Solution maintenance and operations

  • IT service management

  • Pricing to clients

  • Negotiation support

  • Benchmarking

  • Special ad hoc projects

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Validate outgoing bids for financial accuracy in terms of proper P&L and Cash Flow forecasting.

  • Ensure the bid process has completed its internal approvals and has been officially denoted before the executive committee commercial review.

  • Create from bid reviews highlights outlining proposal to approve the bid for executive. consideration of the key components to the project; e.g. Client, Project Description, Deal Size, Duration, Cash Flow, P&L highlights, Contract Type, Risk Profile, etc….

  • Work on large scale deals requiring advanced financial direction to:

  • Coordinate with the bid manager or solution lead to establish the schedule for the financial deliverables by tower early in the bid response cycle

  • Work with the solution team to help establish the price to win in each engagement as early as possible in the response cycle

  • Assemble the cost components into a consolidated cost model

  • Create the pricing model and P&L for the engagement

  • Financial Engineering of the pricing model, including amortizing capital investments and transition expenses

  • Build a true cash flow model as a part of the financial engineering for each deal

  • Manage the exchange of information with Treasury for any requirements of cash flow funding, FX impacts, hedging requirements, interest rates, etc…

  • Validate the costing of the technology solution on the solution design, and the inputs from the solution architects from the respective towers involved.

  • Own the costing and pricing models to ensure the models are as accurate and well put together as possible; aide bid teams in how to fill out the pricing model correctly and with nuances.

  • Explain to Executive Management the financial key points of a bid from key operational, contract and risk issues that need to be considered to have a successful client engagement.

  • Quality to the bid reviews by completeness and concise summary to management to be able to confirm the acceptability of the proposals from a financial perspective.

  • Ability to drive processes from the beginning, development and buy-in to deliver on a final product

  • Satisfaction of the bid teams to which they are assigned on large scale proposals.

  • Support other team members in helping to assess the risk elements on any particular deal.

  • Complete the financial sections of the proposal or SOW, if required.

  • Complete the financial sections for the commercial reviews.

  • Resolve financial issues and provide financial advice to the bid teams as required.

  • Ability to organize and communicate key gate review goals e.g. Bid Turnover to the Operations

  • Curious and always willing to learn – not only on internal methodologies but external. methodologies that can be applied and customized to meet company need.

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in a financial discipline.

  • 5-years of experience in FP&A, Pricing or Bid Management.

  • Must have a working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting principles (IFRS a plus).

  • Excellent in working in Excel (Pivots, vlookup, if statements, match, indirect, etc.).

  • Good Math skills.

The pay range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: specific skills, qualifications, experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. The pay range for this position is estimated at $63,770.00 to $91,828.80 CAD. Additionally, this role may be eligible for a short-term incentive based on company results and individual performance.​
