Job Description

As a member of the Sales Consulting Team you would be responsible for formulating and leading presales functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. Typical activities include developing and delivering high quality Oracle presentations and demonstrations; presenting and articulating advanced product features, benefits, product future direction, and overall Oracle solutions; close collaboration with the product Development organization; acting as a functional expert for less experienced SCs; and developing trusted advisor relationships with critical stakeholders to expand our base of referenceable customers.

Responsibilities

Overview:

• This is a full time, strategic, presales role working with Financial and IT decision makers, as well as the functional end-users evaluating Oracle solutions for their enterprise applications’ needs

• The right person must be able to effectively communicate and engage with audiences regarding business challenges, mapping them to Oracle’s enterprise applications solutions

• Extensive software training will be provided as needed

As an Oracle presales Solution Consultant, you will partner directly with the sales team to present and sell Oracle SaaS solutions to our customers. This is not a quota carrying sales role and does not involve any outbound or inbound sales prospecting; however, it does involve the ability to influence decision makers regarding their business applications, and the ability to act as an Oracle advocate during client interactions.

• The best presales solution consultants have joined us from a variety of backgrounds: operations practitioners (industry users); systems integrators; pre and post sales consulting; trainers of Oracle’s applications products; business analysts; and users of Oracle’s applications

• You will have the opportunity to partner with our Public Sector customers to understand and support their mission and solve real world business problems

• You will advise the team on strategic messaging and competitive differentiators

• You will craft unifying storyboards for large, cross-functional opportunities

• Understanding of unique Public Sector, Healthcare and Higher Education Financial/Procurement requirements is highly desired

• Ability to build and develop reports, dashboards and KPIs based on complex data structures

• This is a remote position working from a home office, with travel required for meetings and client presentations

• Exceptional presentation skills are critical, both in person and with virtual tools such as Zoom

• bilingual skills – French/English - Ability to present in French in a business setting.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced business skills in your area of specialization. 3 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 7 years business experience with relevant computer applications or database/ tools. Ability to conceptualize and implement the most advanced product features. Thorough knowledge of system and application design.

In depth knowledge of competitors. Demonstrated project management skills. Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Ability to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication. Ability to travel as needed. BA/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

Canada: Hiring Range from $89,100 to $165,000 CAD per annum

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
