Position Summary

The Data Services Data Quality Assurance Leader is primarily responsible for overseeing daily production; ensuring that both turnaround and quality targets are met in an efficient and cost effective manner. As part of the daily production oversight, DS DQA Leaders resolve production related issues and escalate urgent issues to the Manager, Count Studies Production, engineering or IT as required.

Outside of production, the Data Services DQA Leader is the owner of at least one sub team. As the sub team owner the DS DQA Leader is responsible for tracking and updating projects their team is responsible for as well as communicating risks and wins to DS Leadership and the wider team as a whole.

Key Accountabilities

  • Production Management

  • Resource Prioritization across shifts 

  • Dictate the strategy for production, escalates to Manager, Count Studies Production as needed

  • Resolve production escalations

  • Escalate data quality investigations 

  • Day to day escalation regarding new/more advanced support issues i.e. new study types, workarounds, processes, etc.

  • Collaborates as needed with Support team to resolve customer inquiries

  • Monitor production and escalate issues as required

    • Production Supervision
  • Follow established processes and procedures to ensure all studies are being processed within turnaround and quality standards 

  • Communication;

  • Run daily stand-up to communicate priorities, objectives and upcoming events as outlined by the Manager, Count Studies Production

  • Create a daily plan with Manager, Count Studies Production and delegate all daily tasks.

  • Communication of team process updates

  • Highlight production risks to Manager, Count Studies Production

  • Share relevant information with other stakeholders as needed

  • Assist with production tasks

  • Understand system limitations and provide appropriate customer solutions

  • Assist with cost savings and quality initiatives 

    Skills/Qualifications

  • High school or equivalent

  • Some post secondary education

  • Past experience leading teams in a production environment

  • Past experience as a Sr. Data Quality Assurance Admin (2+ years)

  • Ability to prioritize (resource and time management)

  • Ability to lead others (mentor, motivate, and inspire)

  • Teaching and training (products & processes)

  • Clear and concise communication

  • Problem solving

  • Attention to detail

  • Process driven

  • Ability to articulate issues and raise concerns with the intent of generating solutions
