Amentum is seeking a Seaman - Deckhand to work in Andros Island, Bahamas . You will support the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) Mission is to provide Naval Warfare Centers, the Fleet, and other customers with accurate undersea, surface, and in-air three-dimensional tracking data and other unique Atlantic test facilities. In support of Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E), and Fleet readiness assessment and training. AUTEC is a Major Range and Test Facility Base (MRTFB) and the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport's largest single team project, providing both deep and shallow water test and training environments. Member of the ship’s crew. Performs a variety of functions under direct supervision of the ship’s Captain for the AUTEC project.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance. Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Deckhand/Seaman position is responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance on the deck of the ships.

• To include preparation and painting of exterior and interior surfaces.

• Torpedo and target recovery, small boat operations, occasional cooking and cleaning.

Minimum Requirements:

• Highschool Diploma or equivalent.

• Minimum 0-3 years' experience.

• This is an entry level position. Candidate must be able to pass DoD physical and respirator fit test once on island.

• Valid U.S. passport required.

• Must be able to reside in remote location with limited medical facilities.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance. Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Some boating background is preferred.
