Amentum is seeking a Mobile Crane & General Mechanic to join our team on Andros Island, Bahamas to support the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) mission. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Perform Corrective and Preventative Maintenance on Government owned Mobile and Truck (CAT 1-4) cranes.

• Maintain an accurate and constant inventory of available parts and material needed.

• Maintain a working knowledge of Diagnostic Equipment.

• Ensure all SRO documentation is accurate and completed in a timely manner in accordance with NAVFAC P307, NAVSUP 538 and NAVFAC P300.

• Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on other heavy equipment and light duty vehicles.

• Ensure all documentation is 100% accurate and any concerns are addressed with equipment and vehicles.

• Provide 24 hour crane support, when needed.

• Must maintain an absolute 100% inventory of all tools.

• Ability to work diligently without direct supervision.

• Must be available for travel as needed for training and inspection purposes.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• 5 years of experience in mobile crane operation and general mechanic work.

• High school graduate or equivalent.

• Navy Crane Center Crane Mechanic preferred or must obtain within 90 days of hire.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including holidays and weekends.

• Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 pounds.

• Must be able to reside in remote work location with limited medical facilities.

• Valid driver’s license and passport will be required.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Automotive Service Excellence certified is preferred.

• Knowledge of CAT 1 and 4 operations and maintenance is preferred.
