Amentum Data Graphics Controller in Bahamas, The

Amentum is seeking a Data Graphics Controller in Andros Island, Bahamas to work as part of a close-knit team, as well as independently, to accomplish a range of functions as you support the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC). AUTEC is a Major Range and Test Facility Base (MRTFB) and the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport's largest single team project, providing both deep and shallow water test and training environments.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance. Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Manage real-time range data systems to meet test operation requirements in an efficient and successful manner.

  • Review all relevant test operations’ documents such as operation directives, test plans, pre-test briefings, and unclassified and classified naval messages to ensure real-time data collection requirements, graphic displays, audio recordings, and event logging requirements will be met.

  • Coordinate test audio and tracking requirements with Computer Room personnel prior/during/posttest support.

  • Support recorded test playback operations as required.

  • Attend pertinent test meetings including pre-test briefs, test specific planning meetings, and range scheduling meetings as required ISO specific test scenarios.

  • Ensure tracking and graphic stations in the Real-time Display Center are properly prepared and manned for range testing as required by the Operations Directive and AUTEC Schedule of Operations.

  • Implement real-time changes in graphic displays as required to meet Range User interface requirements.

  • Maintain real-time logs of all test operations in accordance with established procedures and oversee supplemental documentation requirements as may be required to meet Range User data requests.

  • Ensure all data handling meets current security requirements.

  • Provide technical evaluation to the duty team of any real-time problem and suggest alternatives for meeting test objectives.

  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment to meet customer demands in conjunction with keeping company objectives in focus.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • One to three years related experience operating a computer in a Microsoft Windows environment.

  • Military service or commercial experience (3 yrs.) in a technical field involving large-scale test operations may be substituted in lieu of the degree.

  • AA / AS in Computer Science, Electronics, Information Science or related degree.

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills in English required. Use of Microsoft Outlook email and associated tools is imperative.

  • Ability to grasp copious amounts of information and manage multi-tasking in a fast-paced real time environment.

  • Aptitude for technical reading and comprehension skills to reference and apply written instructions.

  • Capacity to manage close vision work on computer screens/monitors in a low-light environment.

  • Work independently and as a part of a team with contractor, Range User and NUWC personnel.

  • Aptitude for tactful interaction with a wide variety of military and civilian personnel of various nationalities.

  • Ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure; remain flexible and professional coping with changes in a real-time environment.

  • Must be able to walk up/down a one flight stairwell as well as board range craft and fixed/rotary wing aircraft.

  • Must be able to reside in remote location with limited medical facilities.

  • Valid U.S. passport required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BA/BS preferred.
