We are looking for a Supervisor Service to join our team at Emerson!

You will be an active member of the DACH Lifecycle Service Management team working jointly with other Operations department leaders and the Sales Department to align Service executions and sales strategies.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Ensure that the Service team is correctly equipped, trained and developed to meet current and planned future business needs.

• Together with the Lifecycle Service Sales team, build and introduce new services for the domestic market and assist the sales organisation in demonstrations, presentations and service estimates.

• Work closely with the DACH Operations Management team in order to agree the course of action necessary to assure a proper Service coverage for all supported products to be able complete the assigned service activities in a timely and successful manner within the agreed Service budget.

• Coordinates the problem solving for technical issues relating to the service orders.

• Perform all necessary tasks for installation, upgrade and maintenance of DeltaV-Systems and all integrated Bus systems, intelligent field devices and third party systems from the Location or at the customer site in Switzerland or abroad.

• Develop, apply and introduce new and efficient Service strategies.

• Ensure that all service activities meet standards imposed by safety legislation or by quality requirements.

• Maintain and own the service and maintenance related ISO procedures and work instructions.

• Responsibility for screening and use of all relevant procedures related to Trade Compliance Policy.

For this Role, You Will Need:

• Bachelor’ Degree or equivalent experience or similar, preferred background Electrical or Automation Engineering

• 8 years post graduate experience in a Control systems environment, min. 5 years of experience as Service Engineer in a process industry environment (e.g. Life Science, Chemical, Food and beverage, Pulp and Paper)

• Proficiency in German and English

• Must have a valid car driving license

• Availability to travel to and work in the DACH region (Germany, Switzerland)

• Strong knowledge of the following elements: Process Automation, DCS and PLC, Control strategies and technologies, Commissioning and start-up of Automation and preferably also about Server, PC and network equipment

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

• Knowledge and experience of Control Systems (e.g. DeltaV), Validation and Life Science automation experience, MS-Office Applications
