The Position:

L3 CS-Australia is seeking a Purchase and Logistics Officer who has strong organisational and interpersonal skills. Reporting to the Chief Financial Operator, the Purchase and Logistics Associate will provide material supply support to our projects.

Specific responsibilities include :

  • Provide supply support and material management services to program managers and staff

  • Supply services execution and delivery: quoting; procurement, preparation of POs; tracking & expediting orders; freight and delivery coordination; status management and reporting

  • Customer and OEM liaison for equipment RFQs and Purchase Orders

  • Management of inventory

  • Assistance with Approved Supplier List management and growth


Experience/Education Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Purchasing, Logistics or Procurement or a minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in the Defence industry

  • Strong working knowledge of commercial procurement practice

  • Strong Working knowledge of Defence supply support and procurement systems

  • Strong working knowledge of RAN capability support requirements

  • Strong working knowledge of Defence Security practices & procedures

  • Basic understanding of OHS principles, including duty of care

  • We require someone with a professional approach, effective verbal and written communication skills and, excellent attention to detail

  • Strong knowledge and skills in Purchasing

  • Strong negotiation skills

  • Strong Microsoft computer skills and ability to learn new systems is critical

  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian government issued security clearance

Preferable Qualifications:

  • Must have and maintain an active Australian government issued security clearance

  • Formal training ISO-55000

  • Prior supply support budget planning and management experience on ADF programs
