Holiday Inn & Suites Dubai Science Park is looking for a guest-oriented Reservations Sales Agent to join their extraordinary team! Ideally located in the heart of Dubai Science Park, in the most sought after residential area of Dubai, minutes away from mega malls, magnificent Jumeirah Beaches, world’s leading tourist attractions and Parks, auto drome and over 5 championship golf courses. The Holiday Inn & Suites at Dubai Science Park includes 240 hotel rooms and suites and 84 one-bedroom apartments, anchor F&B offerings and an extensive 1026sqm cutting-edge meeting and events facilities.
A little taste of your day-to-day:
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
Convert bedroom accommodation enquiries into bookings on the phone, in person or by letter.
Record and process using a computer bookings system, cancellations and amendments via phone or email promptly and in line with company standards.
Manage hotel selling strategy by opening and closing to specified rates linked to hotels business plan and as directed by your line manager.
Liaise and communicate special requirements to other departments e.g. Cots, VIP’s and late arrivals and guest transportation.
Prepare reports using both a computerized reservation system and other computer software such as Word and Excel.
Record and manage bookings that failed to arrive (No Show).
Sell the InterContinental Hotels Group products and services using up-selling and suggestive selling techniques.
Process and confirm guest room reservations made by clients.
What We need from you:
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal; knowledge of Russian or another language is an advantage
Trustworthy with attention to detail and high levels of accuracy in their work
Pro-active and energetic with a positive 'can do' attitude
Ability to multi-task with prioritization skills
Proficient in the use of Opera System
