Job Purpose:

The Project Control Manager at KBR will play a key role in overseeing the planning, monitoring, and controlling of project activities for the BPROOEPCM project in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This position requires a strategic approach to project management and a strong focus on ensuring adherence to schedule, budget, and quality objectives.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Reports to the Project Director.

  • Supervises cost engineers, planners, document controllers and project administrators.

  • Provides overall project cost and schedule direction through the application of systems and methods for project change management, estimate development cost control, progress measurement and schedule.

  • Prepares monthly report. Develop and implement project control procedures to track progress, monitor costs, and optimize resource allocation.

  • Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to establish project baselines and performance metrics.

  • Provide regular project status updates and reports to senior management and project teams.

  • Conduct risk assessments and mitigation strategies to address project constraints and uncertainties.

  • Monitor project schedules, milestones, and deliverables to ensure timely completion within budget constraints.

  • Implement change management processes to address project scope changes and variations.

  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate project control functions with engineering, procurement, and construction activities.

  • Utilize project management tools and software to analyze data, forecast trends, and generate performance metrics.

  • Lead project control meetings, reviews, and audits to assess project performance and identify areas for improvement.

  • Ensure compliance with project control best practices, company policies, and client requirements.

Mandatory Competencies:

  • Strong background in project controls, planning, and scheduling in the oil and gas industry.

  • Proven experience in managing project budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis.

  • Excellent risk management and change management skills.

  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders and priorities.

  • Proven track record in planning, coordinating and supervising teams of cost engineers, planners, document controllers and project administrators in oil and gas projects.

  • Knowledge and understanding of project management, project planning, progress measurement and reporting, contract, administration, document control,

  • business support, time and cost estimating and cost control principles.

  • Fluent in English; proficient in report writing and delivering presentations.

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of project management methodologies and techniques.

  • Familiarity with project control systems and software, such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.

  • Understanding of engineering, procurement, and construction processes in the oil and gas sector.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.

  • Mandatory Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Engineering from recognized university

  • Preferred Qualification: Master's degree in Engineering from recognized university
