We are currently recruiting for a full time Human Resources Specialists to join our enthusiastic team at Crowne Plaza Dubai Marina.

The Human Resources Specialists will manage all the office administration, conduct and coordinate all the resourcing activities, support in colleague engagement programs and ensure all the necessary payroll related tasks are completed in a timely manner. The Human Resources specialist will also work closely with the Learning & Quality head to orient new employees on organizational policies, procedures, and benefits. The Human Resources Specialists will need to possess excellent interpersonal skills, competent speaking skills along with sound judgment and decision-making skills. The following are some of the expected knowledge and skills for this role;

  • Verify references and conduct background checks on job candidates

  • Provide applicants with information regarding compensation, job benefits, and working conditions

  • Maintain records of employee hiring, promotion, transfers, or termination

  • Explain human resources policies, standards and procedures to new joiners to ensure compliance

  • Conduct interviews and review applications to match candidates with job requirements

  • Carry out search for choice candidates by using the services of recruiting agencies and networking or internet resources

  • Interview exiting employees and process the paperwork for employment termination

  • Develop and implement hiring strategies to meet the human resources needs of an organization

  • Ensure company recruitment processes support guidelines for equal employment opportunities

  • Review applicant qualifications to ensure they meet the eligibility requirements for licensing

  • Ensure recruitment criteria conform to standards of professional/statistical testing

  • Maintain an up-to-date database of all the colleagues, both electronically as well as personal files

  • Support the development and implementation of Human Resources initiatives and systems

  • Provide counselling on policies and procedures

  • Be actively involved in recruitment by preparing job descriptions, posting ads and managing the hiring process

  • Assist in performance management processes

  • Support the management of disciplinary and grievance issues

  • Receive employee complaints, suggestions and queries and make sure they have been handled properly

  • Maintain employee records (attendance, EEO data etc.) according to policy and legal requirements

  • Supervise daily HR Operations

  • Maintain relationship with other HOD’s and working closely with them

  • Supporting with monthly reports

  • Shadowing HR Director for Budget report, renewing Medical & Life Insurance

Ideally with Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources and with minimum 5 years of relevant experience in human resources. Additional training/certification in Payroll Management – may be advantageous. Able to engage in meaningful negotiation and resolution. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Full understanding of Human Resources functions and best practices.
