As a professional in your role, your responsibilities and essential job functions will include but are not limited to:

  • Supervise the front desk team and ensure smooth operations during shifts.

  • Oversee guest check-in and check-out processes, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.

  • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints, resolving issues in a timely and satisfactory manner.

  • Coordinate with other hotel departments to ensure guest needs are met.

  • Monitor and maintain the hotel's reservation system, ensuring accurate and up to date information.

  • Train and mentor front desk staff, providing guidance and support as needed.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of front office policies and procedures.

  • Conduct regular inspections of the front desk area to ensure cleanliness and organization.

  • Prepare reports and analyze data related to front office operations and guest satisfaction.

  • Stay updated on hotel services, facilities, and promotions to provide accurate information to guests.

Ideally, you should possess some or all the following qualifications and experience:

  • Preferably candidates with pre-opening hotel experience.

  • Previous experience in a supervisory role in a hotel front office department

  • Strong leadership and management skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to handle guest concerns and complaints with tact and professionalism.

  • Proficiency in computer systems and hotel management software

  • Knowledge of front office operations, including check-in/check-out procedures and reservation systems

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities

  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle challenging situations.

  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.

  • Fluency in written and spoken English, additional languages a plus.
