Holiday Inn & Suites Dubai Science Park, is looking for a passionate Assistant Procurement Manager to join their extraordinary team! Ideally located in the heart of Dubai Science Park, in the most sought after residential area of Dubai. Minutes away from mega malls, magnificent Jumeirah Beaches, world’s leading tourist attractions and Parks, auto drome and over 5 championship golf courses. The Holiday Inn & Suites at Dubai Science Park has 240 hotel rooms and suites and 84 one-bedroom apartments, anchor F&B offerings and an extensive 1026sqm cutting-edge meeting and events facilities.

Your day to day

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

• Developing and implementing purchasing strategies

• Managing daily purchasing activities and allocating tasks

• Managing supplier relations and negotiating contracts, prices, timelines, etc.

• Maintaining the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation

• Coordinating with inventory control to determine and manage inventory needs.

• Managing the maintenance of office/manufacturing equipment and machinery

• Ensuring that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications.

• Working to improve purchasing systems and processes.

• Translates operating forecasts into material requirement plans and thereby determines standard stock and reorder levels with Department Heads and Management.

What we need from you

• Ideally, you have at least 2 years purchasing management experience in a 4 or 5 star hotel.

• Strong knowledge of local businesses and business trends required. 

• Excellent English communication skills and well-versed in hotel systems.
