The Team:

Support the Automotive Consulting Services practice as a project lead, contributor and collaborator while interacting with other IHS groups – Forecasting, Product and Data Solutions. Work with current and potential clients to solve complex research issues with colleagues in Consulting Services and Sales to investigate various project methodologies, scope, cost, management and guide primary and secondary research on various engagements. A Consulting Principal is directly engaged with clients, internal and external resources as well as being active within the industry through participation in automotive industry events. Additionally, a Consulting Principal will work closely with Directors and Executive Directors focusing on the OE supplier and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) client bases.

Responsibilities and Impact:

Primary Responsibilities:

• Interact with current and potential clients to build project scope and proposals. Manage projects through to completion/final delivery.

• Be knowledgeable in automotive electronic features and systems – assist clients with understanding analytical solutions surrounding current and future industry dynamics.

• Collaborate with other S&P Global colleagues to leverage content/capabilities, market Consulting Services solutions and promote same internally and externally.

• Act as a voice of the customer within S&P Global Mobility with respect to how we can best as an organization solve complex client research requirements – seeking innovative methods and inputs.

• Work collectively with S&P Global Mobility Sales to prospect potential engagements.

• Understand and advocate for customer needs and requirements. Interprets internal and external business issues and recommends best practices.

• Interact within a global Consulting Services team with the possibility of leading or contributing to a multi-regional engagement.

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in relevant subject, Masters degree a plus.

• Deep knowledge of electronics, ADAS, and telematics applications in the auto industry, structure. Awareness of new developments and trends as well as a contact base within industry.

• 5-10 years of experience in automotive or electronics industry analysis (forecasting, research, data analytics, projects).

• Personal organization skills with track record of managing multiple projects to ensure on time delivery within budget.

• Personality and confidence to build strong relationships at all levels – both internally and externally.

• Experience with creating and presenting Microsoft Power Point Presentations and advanced Excel capability. Capability using and creating content in Tableau is a plus.

• Other requirements:

o Ability to travel

o Strong written and verbal communication skills

o Excellent time management skills

o Network of industry contacts and participation in industry groups

o Some experience with public speaking and or/media exposure

Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $105,000 – 130,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
