Zero Point, Inc Logistics Specialist in Virginia Beach, Virginia

PRIAMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION

Provide services in support of logistics, procurement and maintenance functions.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and account for property on primary and temporary hand receipts.

  • Conduct transactions, such as receiving, transferring, and disposing of property in the local Property Book Unit Supply Enhanced (PBUSE) system or other property management systems.

  • Support annual and cyclic inventories of all accountable items.

  • Perform shipping and receiving functions for property sent via commercial and Government channels.

  • Maintain automated and/or manual records for all transactions.

  • Maintain accountability and provide disposition for expendable and/or consumable items such as bench stock, cables, etc.

  • Integrate nonstandard property from others into designated property management system to achieve total asset visibility.

  • Develop and maintain logistics SOPs.

  • Assist with the preparation of work statements and other specifications for supplies, services in support of office operations.

  • Perform market research reports and assist with development of cost estimates.

  • Assist in inspections for interim and final logistics deliverables.

  • Review invoices and receiving reports for accuracy and subsequent approval by Government Logistics Manager for submission to COR.

  • Assist with procurement, delivery, and acceptance of items from nonstandard sources.

  • Assist Government Purchase Card (GPC) holder(s) as needed.

  • Follow the ODC SOP to assist the Government Logistics Manager in the procurement and reconciliation of obtaining required items using ODC funds.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • More than10 years of operational logistics supporting U.S. Army and/or U.S. Navy Forces

  • More than 5 years of logistics supporting SOF

  • CONUS and occasional OCONUS travel is expected for the logistics managers

  • Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license and valid U.S. Passport for foreign travel

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe software

  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills

  • Knowledge of military logistics systems

  • Ability to work well in a team environment focusing on meeting tight deadlines
