Actalent Electrical Engineer in Virginia Beach, Virginia

Job Description

Actalent is hiring an entry-level Electrical Engineer to join a well-established multi-disciplinary firm. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of a licensed engineer and participate in the design of large federal buildings using Revit, submitting RFI, and ensuring compliance with electrical codes. Additionally, the role involves conducting field visits and focusing on power, lighting, fire alarm, and low voltage electrical systems. The ideal candidate should have 1-3 years of experience in a previous role or 0-1 years of experience with a degree in electrical engineering.

  • Electrical Design Engineering

  • Knowledge of low-voltage power and lighting systems in buildings

  • MEP Building Design

  • AutoCAD/Revit knowledge

  • Ability to work on a team

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Virginia Beach, Virginia and some days remote.

Work Environment

This in-office role requires the candidate to spend the majority of their time designing, with occasional site visits as needed. The core hours are from 9-5, with a hybrid work arrangement allowing 3 days in-office and 2 days remote.
