Description

We are looking for an Accounting Manager to join our team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This role involves overseeing a group of 4 direct reports and managing both the close process and internal controls and audit responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the accounting team, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time.

• Review and manage the end-of-month close process, ensuring all financial data is accurately recorded.

• Utilize accounting software systems and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning to streamline and automate processes.

• Oversee and manage both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

• Conduct regular auditing tasks to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

• Manage billing functions, ensuring all invoices are issued and paid in a timely manner.

• Oversee the General Ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data management and report generation.

• Implement and maintain strong internal controls to protect company assets and ensure compliance with company policies.

• Regularly review accounting functions and processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Extensive knowledge in Accounting Functions

• Hands-on experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Proficiency in managing Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in Auditing

• Ability to handle Billing Functions

• Capability to manage Month End Close

• Strong understanding of General Ledger

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Knowledge of Internal Control mechanisms in an organization
