Boehringer Ingelheim Research Laboratory Scientist (m/f/d) in Vienna, Austria

The position

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Lab Scientist with a strong focus on Organoids: to join our dynamic cancer pharmacology and disease positioning research team. The successful candidate will be responsible for characterizing the response of novel cancer drugs both in vitro and in vivo. This role involves extensive work with tissue culture and including experience with organoid culture and imaging approaches as readouts. This is a three year fixed term contract.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Join a research team focused on characterizing the response of novel cancer drugs in vivo and in vitro

  • Perform cell and organoid culture

  • Utilize high-content 3D imaging techniques or flow cytometry for experimental readouts

  • Work both independently and collaboratively to execute and document experiments

  • Primarily conduct in vitro work with a willingness to learn and perform in vivo tasks, including transplanting and treating organoids in mouse models

Requirements

  • A degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or an equivalent field (Bachelor’s or Master’s, or PhD´s) with strong background in cell biology, -and cancer biology

  • Prior experience working with organoids and imaging techniques

  • Experience with in vivo studies would be beneficial

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team with excellent communication skills, documentation and organizational skills

  • Proficient in written and spoken English

The minimum gross annual salary according to the collective bargaining agreement for this position is EUR 46.305 (full time). For the actual salary the industry benchmark as well as your qualifications and experiences are taken into consideration.
