Description

We are seeking an IT Systems Administrator based in Victor, New York, for a contract-to-hire employment opportunity. You will be required to manage and maintain our IT systems, ensuring efficiency and security. Your responsibilities will primarily include networking, security, and database administration. You will also be required to work with Amazon Web Services and provide accurate documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily performance of our computer systems and network

• Ensure the security of our IT systems, protecting against unauthorized access or cyber threats

• Manage our Active Directory, controlling user access and maintaining security policies

• Administer our databases, making sure they are up-to-date and performing optimally

• Work with Amazon Web Services, managing and troubleshooting our cloud resources

• Document all IT procedures and system changes, maintaining a clear record of our IT infrastructure and operations.

Requirements • Possess strong knowledge and practical experience in Networking.

• Demonstrated expertise in Cyber Security is mandatory.

• Proficiency in Active Directory is required.

• Must have experience in Database Administration.

• Proficient in Amazon Web Services (AWS).

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

• Proven experience as a Systems Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role.

• Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms.

• Knowledge of system security techniques.

• Ability to create scripts in Python, Perl, or other languages.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex systems in simple terms.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
