Salary: $18.79 - $20.02

Position Overview

Join us as a Project Search Instructor at The Arc Ontario, where you'll be responsible for curriculum development, implementation, and oversight of planned services and activities. Identifies individuals strengths, interests and abilities related to skill acquisition, job development and placement. Determines appropriate community support services for training and successful employment and makes necessary referrals. Works collaboratively with local business and industry to meet local employment needs. Project Search is a nationally-renowned program designed to support people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities as they seek employment in non-traditional jobs. Participants over the age of 21 develop job and work skills with the goal of shaping a career path with practical knowledge gained from working in several departments. Involvement in day-to-day operations offers an advantage when applying for long-term employment.

Work Location: Eastview Mall - Victor, NY

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-4pm with flexibility to meet program needs

    Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and over one (1) year experience in service delivery individuals with a disabling condition, preferably in curriculum development or work readiness training, or an equivalent amount of education and experience.
