Katmai Administrative Specialist II (EXO) in VICKSBURG, Mississippi

SUMMARY

Provide expertise on a variety of computer software programs such as word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, database, and other The U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) applications. Prepare, track, and report on a broad range of accounting criteria as the Administrative Specialist, Executive Officer (EXO).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review, format, and process correspondence, memorandums, presentations, information papers, briefings and reports, process, organize, and maintain spreadsheet data, student registration information and forms.

  • Document and distribute course schedules determined for each semester.

  • File records, trip reports, and meeting minutes.

  • Process routine reports on such things as statistics on the Laboratory Demonstration Project, course attendance, and course completion, and requests for course offerings.

  • Coordinate with hand receipt holders for inventories and maintenance of Graduate Institute property accounts.

  • Prepare all travel requirements (including plans, agenda, itinerary, or dates) and shall be pre-approved by the government Contracting Officer Representative.

  • Perform record management duties for the Laboratory Demonstration Project and the Graduate Institute in accordance with ERDC policies and procedures.

  • Prepare reports of items shipped for ERDC Graduate Institute.

  • Monitor supplies for the Graduate Institute and provide a list of recommended items needed to DHC/EXO cardholder for purchase.

  • Maintain a planning calendar for Graduate Institute to include the scheduling of all 6 Graduate Institute classrooms.

  • Receive visitors and direct to the appropriate office for resolution (ADMIN).

  • Provide Monthly Summary Report each month by established suspense date.

  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

None.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate's degree in a related discipline. In lieu of degree, relevant work experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.

  • Must obtain and maintain any necessary security access and/or background checks.

Full-time. May be required to work additional hours as needed to complete assignment or project.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is performed in an office setting. Employee often exposed to sharp objects and may be exposed to some heat, loud noise, chemicals and vibration. Use of personal protective equipment is mandatory. Employee will be exposed to a wide variety of people in differing functions, personalities, and abilities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Frequent sitting, using hands/fingers, handling, reaching with hands and arms, talking, hearing; occasional walking or standing, occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
