EXPERIENCED CAD TECHNICIAN WANTED - AutoCAD Our company is looking to fill the role of STRUCTURAL CAD OPERATOR / DRAFTSMAN.

The candidate will have several years of structural drafting experience.While this is our ideal list, we will consider candidates that do not necessarily have all the qualifications listed, but have sufficient experience and talent. Candidate must have experience with STRUCTURAL drafting. This is NOT an internship or trainee position.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepares structural drawings for permitting based on architectural plans and lead engineer red-lines and calculations.
• Works directly under the supervision of structural engineer.
• Produces structural design drawings for concrete, structural steel, and masonry structures and timber.
• Assist the team with revising drawings to reflect as-built conditions.
• Review rough sketches, drawings, specifications and other engineering data to ensure that they conform to design concepts.
• Prepare structural plans, elevations, and sections to represent the structural design construction layout
• Ability to work under limited guidance

QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least 2 years' experience on structural projects
• Certification or Degree in AutoCAD a plus
• Experience with REVIT a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Drafting Certificate or Associate's degree in CADD, Engineering Technology a plus but not required.
• Must have a working knowledge of the Windows operating system and computer-aided drafting applications (AutoCAD)

SALARY:

• Salary $20 - $25 per hour depending on experience. This may increase after a 90-day probationary period, to be discussed during the interview.
