AnthroMed Education is seeking a warm, dedicated, and energetic School Social Worker to join our team for the 24-25 school year at one of our partner schools in Vernon Hills!

Position Details: 

This split position is based at Hawthorn School of Dual Language (K-5) and Townline Elementary School (1st-5th)—both housed in the same building! In this unique role, you’ll have the opportunity to serve two distinct programs:

• School of Dual Language: Students spend 50% of their day learning in Spanish and 50% in English, providing a dynamic and culturally rich educational experience.

• Townline Elementary: A traditional elementary program where students receive instruction in English.

  What You’ll Do :

• Work schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 8:15 AM - 3:45 PM, & Wednesday: 8:15 AM - 4:00 PM.

• Caseload Management: Provide direct support and services to approximately 15 Elementary students with IEPs, helping them thrive both socially and emotionally.

• Collaborate with Two Full-Time Social Workers: Partner with dedicated social workers in each program to ensure seamless support and comprehensive care for students.

• Provide Individual and Group Counseling: Help students address and overcome challenges related to social, emotional, and behavioral needs through tailored counseling.

• Promote Social and Emotional Learning (SEL): Develop and implement programs that foster self-awareness, resilience, and strong interpersonal skills.

• Crisis Intervention and Support: Offer timely intervention during crises and help students and families connect to additional resources as needed.

• Foster a Positive School Culture: Work closely with teachers, administrators, and families to create an inclusive environment where all students feel supported and valued.

  Schedule:

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 8:15 AM - 3:45 PM.

• Wednesday: 8:15 AM - 4:00 PM.

  School Social Worker Requirements:

• Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) required.

• State Certification as a School Social Worker.

• Experience working with diverse student populations, including bilingual or multilingual students, is a plus but not required.

• Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.

• Ability to work in a dynamic school environment and contribute to a positive, solution-focused culture.

• Passion for working with K-5 students and a commitment to their social-emotional growth.
