Vermont Employer Production Senior Supervisor - Legacy Operations in Vergennes, Vermont

The function of the Senior Supervisor (M3) is to oversee and supervise the daily operations of the work cells under his/her scope of authority while coordinating with Quality, Engineering, Planning, and Supply Chain to achieve necessary production outcomes. They assess and communicate production issues and develop solutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction goals and objectives.

The Senior Supervisor oversees an established team of technical and experienced professionals, with ambitious delivery targets and conceptually challenging obstacles to overcome. They have freedom in determining how assignments are completed, while optimizing the performance of existing team members and developing a healthy pipeline of diverse talent to withstand ongoing personnel changes. To support the level of autonomy that this role has, applicants need to have a job history which contains roles and accomplishments indicative of success leading a team without a large degree of oversight.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Continually assisting in the daily needs of the business, and work cells under his/her support
  • Developing the knowledge and skills of the team, conducting resource management, and manage hiring for the team members
  • Making data driven decisions, and seeking to understand and communicate key performance indicators to the business
  • Identifying problems and recommending solutions, such as reallocating resources, changing internal procedures, and contractual specifications, and assisting resolution development
  • Assists in reviewing, editing, and adhering to policies, practices, and procedures
  • Reviewing status of projects and production plans, managing people, schedules, assigned tasks, and prepares status reports

Qualifications/Experience Needed:

  • Typically requires University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
  • S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required\ (https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with continuous improvement projects, Core, Six Sigma, LEAN, or similar

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience lev ls. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidates work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
