The Business Consultant is responsible for providing consultative services aimed at enhancing Reseller business and site level performance and profitability.

Responsibilities May Include:

  • Manage business plan in support of the overall West Coast strategies and business plan

  • Manage contract renewals/non-renewals consistent with their portfolio plan

  • Work with Strategic Development Consultant and Business Development Representative to ensure renewals are economically consistent and include appropriate upgrades

  • Manage contract compliance

  • Manage volumes and controllable costs

  • Provide consultative support to customers that improve their business and profitability

  • Support implementation and execution of Phillips 66 programs

  • Identify growth opportunities with existing customers and coordinate with local Business Development Representative

  • Manage operational issues as appropriate

  • Develop and cultivate business relationships

Required Qualifications:

  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country

  • Hold and maintain a valid driver’s license

  • Able to drive up to 60% of time within assigned region & travel outside of territory up to an additional 5%

  • 2 or more years of experience in Marketing, Transportation, Commercial operations or other relevant experience

  • 1 or more years of experience working with Influence Management, such as conflict resolution and leading internal/external resources to achieve goals

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience driving results and delivering real business improvements

  • Experience finding the most profitable way to complete a deal that works for both sides, while building strong, trusting relationships

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently

  • Strong knowledge of market share, refinery systems, strengths and weakness of channels and customers

  • Proficient with PC applications, MS office applications, and data management

  • Able to gather and interpret data from separate systems

The base pay range for this role is $ 106,400 – $171,150 depending on a candidate's relevant work experience and education.
