Eaton´s new campus for its critical power systems in Vantaa, Finland , integrates all current activities into a much larger site. Campus is completed by the end of 2023, and the 16,500 m² site will house research and development, manufacturing, warehousing, sales and service under one roof and will create up to 100 additional jobs.

As one of the world’s largest manufacturers of three-phase uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), Eaton’s expansion in this area is driven by strong business growth and the demand for systems that ensure business continuity. Situated in a prime location next to the Helsinki airport, the Vantaa facility will serve as Eaton’s Critical Power Solutions headquarters and a center of excellence for data centers.

Due to the expansion of the team, we are currently looking for a Production Subproject Manager in Vantaa.

What you’ll do:

As a Production Subproject Manager you will be responsible for leading the production subproject to ensure the production infrastructure and material flow to meet business growth requirements. You are going to lead the internal requirements planning, co-operation with construction companies & other stakeholders, planning and execution of the shop floor space usage in facility. Further responsibilities are:

• Establish production subproject team

• Lead the subproject planning, designing and execution

• Define electrical infrastructure and testing capabilities to meet business requirements

• Ensure optimal shop floor space usage, design and execute layout changes to meet business needs

• Define needs for subcontracting to optimize layout and support growth

• Investigate need for factory extension

• Define material flow and material replenishment strategy (Reduce material footprint on shop floor)

• Execute and lead defined changes on site

• Project covers collecting and summarizing the business needs for the layout optimization and possible facility extension

• Co-operate with Eaton stakeholders to get quotations from service providers

• You will coordinate business requirement, Eaton EHS requirements architect work related to production and material flow

• Provide information and required plans for possible execution of layout changes and facility extension, being the link between service providers, construction company and Eaton on down to detail level choices

• Lead equipment installation to the shop floor, ensure needed changes to current processes will be implemented and lead the operations

• Coordinating with project management and finance on financial planning and cost tracking

Qualifications:

• Several years of experience in project management - preferably on manufacturing or facilities related areas

• University degree

• Negotiations skills, communication skills, project management skills, financial understanding related to project, influencing skills

• Fluent Finnish (preferred) and English

• Coordination skills with various stakeholders
