Eaton Corporation Industrialization Engineer, QLT in Vantaa, Finland

Eaton´s new campus for its critical power systems in Vantaa, Finland, integrates all current activities into a much larger site. The new campus was completed in April 2024, and the 16,500 m² site will house research and development, manufacturing, warehousing, sales and service under one roof and will create up to 100 additional jobs.

As one of the world’s largest manufacturers of three-phase uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), Eaton’s expansion in this area is driven by strong business growth and the demand for systems that ensure business continuity. Situated in a prime location next to the Helsinki airport, the Vantaa facility will serve as Eaton’s Critical Power Solutions headquarters and a center of excellence for data centers.

What you’ll do:

  • To ensure the smooth and high-quality industrialization of new products so that manufacturing processes and cabapilities are aligned with new requirements.

  • To improve processes, work practices and problem solving to reflect new business requirements regarding quality in the new factory.

  • Also to ensure the smooth and high-quality industrialization of new products, i.e. the transition of the product from development projects to production, and be responsible for the development and optimisation of production processes in the global environment.

  • To assess the risks of new products and production processes and managing risk reduction measures.

  • To be responsible of the process development and solving problems in production and leads production line capacity and efficiency improvement projects.

  • To manage product and production process changes in his/her responsibility area.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in electrical, electronics, automation, mechanical or process engineering

  • Experience in a similar position in the manufacturing environment, specifically in the energy / electrical sector.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

  • Intercultural experience and being ready to work at global level.

  • Negotiation and problem-solving skills.

  • English is a must, Finnish is nice to have.
