Description

Kevin Wong with Robert Half is offering an opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in the industry of finance, located in Vancouver, Washington. The successful candidate will be tasked with overseeing the company's financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations.

Responsibilities:

• Undertake the reconciliation of sub-ledger to general ledger account balances.

• Assist in preparing financial statements and support month-end and year-end close processes.

• Carry out internal control assessments, including risk assessments and review of risk areas.

• Assist in budget preparation and prepare monthly budget variance analyses.

• Conduct regular maintenance and reconciliation of fixed assets schedules.

• Perform initial internal control evaluations and supervise accounting staff.

• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.

• Utilize Excel Formulas for efficient financial analysis and reporting.

• Take responsibility for preparing financial statements.

• Assist in the supervision of accounting staff to ensure smooth day-to-day operation.

Salary Range: $75k - $90k

Paid Vacation: 6.5 Days

Requirements • Proficient in Excel Formulas

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field

• Minimum of five years of experience in a similar role

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

• Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, etc.)

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
