Job Description

A client is looking for an IT Engineer - Tier 3 to work on a contract to hire or direct hire basis local to the Vancouver, WA area.. This person will be supporting a wide variety of technologies across multiple client sites. They will be responsible for things like, but not limited to; Special projects, Configure and maintain client systems, including hardware, networks, applications, and cloud technologies, migrations of firewalls, backups, disaster recovery solutions, and provide user support if requested. This individual will also be client facing and would need to feel comfortable speaking to high level stakeholders, so communication and professionalism is imperative. Additionally, this person would be focused primarily on proactive prevention and maintenance for clients however needs to be comfortable jumping in when situations call for it. They will also be responsible for evaluating client sites, creating roadmaps, and helping to prepare budgets. This is a smaller company and requires someone that has an "all hands-on deck mentality" to be successful.

Skills and Requirements

5+ years' experience as a working in a similar role that covers various IT responsibilities

Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco

Strong diagnostic skills of technical issues

Office 365 experience

Has experience working within IT security and comfortable with security compliance

Someone who is a self-starter, driven, and a proactive thinker

Excellent written and verbal communication

Team oriented

Candidates must be local to Vancouver, WA area.

This person will be on a hybrid schedule of remote and onsite at various client sites across the city

There is no set schedule as some client support will be remote and onsite as needed Experience working at a Managed Service provider

BA/BS from an accredited college in information systems, business, or computer science null
