Overview: Our client, a well-established, multi-disciplinary engineering firm, is looking for a Civil Designer to join their growing team and be responsible for developing detailed site improvement drawings, maps and other drafting documentation using the latest standards. The ideal candidate will work in a collaborative team under direct supervision of a licensed engineer to complete both residential and commercial projects for a variety of clients. This is a long-term, direct hire position in Vancouver, WA.

*Pay rate: *$65K - $85K DOE

Responsibilities:

• Design and produce drawings that conform to company standards with AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Coordinate the collection of data and use information from topographical surveys and geographical reports in drawings, maps and additional drafting documents
• Track and maintain timelines for projects in process
• Modify drawings, verify data for accuracy and quality control
• Manage multiple priorities
• Meet project deadlines
• Collaborate with project partners

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required • 1+ years' experience in civil engineering design/drafting required • 1+ years' experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D required

• Experience with stormwater modeling and hydrology modeling software preferred
• Outstanding organization and time management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience working with staff on all levels
• Excels in advanced thinking, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to travel occasionally around Washington and Oregon to various project sites mainly in the Portland Metro area
