Behavioral Health Clinical Supervisor - Posting #26871

Annual Salary: $72,000 - $75,000 DOE

Position Summary:

Full-time Behavioral Health Clinical Supervisor position available for our Salmon Creek Clinic in Vancouver, WA. 

This individual supervises the Mental Health Therapists in all phases of the therapists’ work, provides direct services to clients, and conducts groups, intakes, and assessments. The person in this position also supervises the support staff in the implementation of systems, and coordinates with the Behavioral Health Program Manager regarding administrative and clinical management procedures relating to clients. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in interviewing and selecting candidates for employment, training employees, planning, assigning and directing work/caseloads for employees. Reviewing client charts to ensure compliance with BHO, DBHR, and TJC (The Joint Commission) requirements.

  • In partnership with the Manager, ensure staff meets their weekly service hours and monthly

productivity requirements.

  • Conduct weekly file reviews and implement appropriate corrective actions to ensure files meet

Federal, State, County, and Sea Mar requirements. Report all findings to the Program Manager

and, as appropriate, to the Regional Behavioral Health Director.

  • In partnership with the Program Manager, ensure client information is protected and that all

employees follow the HIPAA confidentiality requirements.

  • Consult and collaborate with other professionals/agencies on client evaluations, treatment plans

and follow-up.

  • Ensure daily completion of electronic progress notes. Review and approve electronic progress

notes, when necessary, in a timely fashion.

  • Assure that their clinical staff maintains updated documentation as required by WAC, County

and State contracts.

  • Ensure system integration of care (primary care, behavioral health, dental care and overall

health) for all patients.

  • All other duties as assigned by Regional Director.

    Qualifications and/or Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in the Social Science or Social Service field.

  • Mental Health Professional; certification as minority Mental Health Specialist as prescribed by

WAC, is preferred.

  • Must have a current Washington State Department of Health license for: Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Psychologist, or Clinical Social Worker.

  • At least five (5) years’ experience in the field, with some administrative experience.

  • This position must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR within 90 days of hire date and is

required to maintain current BLS CPR throughout employment.

  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred, but not required.
