WSP USA Quality Coordinator - TEMPORARY 12 MONTH in Vancouver, British Columbia

The Opportunity:

WSP is currently seeking a Quality Coordinator to provide support to the National Quality Team. The role will include supporting the implementation of the Quality Management System to ensure that all relevant systems, processes and their outcomes comply with standards that meet applicable professional regulations and guidelines as well as applicable ISO standards. In this role, you will work closely with the Sector Quality Managers and the Quality Team to drive a proactive culture of quality compliance. This role reports to the Quality Delivery Assurance Manager.

What you can expect to do here:

  • Supports the effective rollout of WSP’s Quality Management System initiatives including ISO Certification and Project Delivery Initiatives and the implementation of Quality’s annual workplan.

  • Builds and maintains positive working relationships with the National Quality team and Sector Quality Managers through effective and frequent communication and attendance to formal meetings (National, Regional, etc.)

  • Supports the administration of all quality related matters, including the maintenance of quality folders, files, trackers and registers.

  • Ensures that control of documents and records are in accordance with the approved quality standard and performs editorial and document control reviews on documents ahead of publication

  • Supports tracking and analysing of objectives, associated KPIs , external audit findings and other identified data and issues as needed.

  • May work with internal auditor/resources, safety, warehouse and other corporate services teams within offices to support quality’s strong linkages

  • Supports the annual internal audit program and conduct audits and act in the role of lead internal auditor

  • Provides input and support in Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives

  • Other duties and initiatives as may be required from the National Quality Team

What you’ll bring to WSP:

  • Strong working knowledge of regulatory guidelines and ISO standards

  • Relevant experience in Quality and/or Consulting/Engineering industry

  • Highly analytical with strong attention to detail

  • Engaging leadership style, solid influencing, and facilitation skills and able to quickly develop relationships across the organization while contributing to collaborative work environment

  • Energetic self-starter in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment

  • Professional certifications (internal auditor) an asset and/or University Degree

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including experience making presentations to executive management

  • Adaptability and flexibility including the ability to manage deadline pressure, ambiguity, and change

  • 0-3 years’ relevant experience

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including but not limited to Word, SharePoint, and Excel

  • Excellent inter-personal skills and a high level of both written and spoken communication skills (English is essential, French is a benefit)

  • Organized, task-driven and detail-oriented

  • Analytical and a problem-solver

  • Understanding of ISO 9001, 45001 and/or 14001 standards (desirable)

  • Working knowledge of HSEQ integrated systems and the requirements (desirable)

Compensation

Expected Salary (all locations): $60 000 - $82 600

WSP Canada is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it will pay for this position based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to the specific geographic location.
